2Spots August Fishing Report

The bite has been Hot, but so has the Florida weather. I like to get out on the water early. The water has been low, so I’ve been finding my tailing reds in the SkinnyWater grass Flats around mid-Indianriver. I have been throwing my fav RapalaSkitterWalk, with great success. As the sun heats up, I switch to a saltwater Assassin, which always does well.
My SaltwaterAssassin color patterns change depending on the conditions. Water clarity, and matching the bait in the area.
The trout bite has been hot all through the day. I like to throw a Popping cork with a DOA shrimp. That always gets their attention.
